IEEE Malaysia Section and IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Malaysia Chapter have organized a one-day event sponsored under IEEE Humanitarian
Activities Committee (HAC) Event. 3 speakers were invited and shared their experience. Prof. Celia Shahnaz from IEEE Sight shared with the audience about her team community research projects that served the community in Bangladesh. Madam Siti Khadijah Md Zamin from ARISMA (Academy for Young Autistics Patients) delivered her talk on Empowering Special Needs Young Adults as well as how the academy has catered activities with the young autistic patients and teaching these special young adults to be independent. Assoc. Professor Ir. Dr. Shamsul Sarip from UTM MySight shared with the audience about some of his team projects that served the surrounding community in Kuala Lumpur as well as in Royal Belum Forest, Gerik, Perak. 10 posters on humanitarian projects by researchers from the universities were also displayed during the workshop. The workshop ended with the slots for audience and researchers to have one-to-one engagement or clinic with the relevant speakers for any project that suit to their interest for potential future humanitarian projects.
